Fall Update

About Madison * Well she's less than a month away from turning 5, and she is still the apple of our eye. She's smart, funny and completely adorable, and it would appear that she is quite popular at school (no surprise). The anxieties that plagued us over the last year seem to have vanished, and she now jumps into new situations with confidence. She is still a vegetarian but has yet to learn not to judge those who don't share her opinion. Besides school, she is taking part in Sparks, Dance and hopefully swimming, and she is always very excited about attending these activities. Although a previous tomboy, she is now quite a girly-girl; loving dresses, princess and all other femine things. She is still a Daddy's girl and is also a great big sister. We're so proud of this little meatball, and we can't wait to see what changes this next season brings!

About Natalie * An apple of our eye and a menance to our household! Less than a week away from turning 2 and this one has always got us on our toes; this next year will be a whopper. While still contrary, she still is a happy little girl. Like Madison, her speech is quite good, and she is now putting together 2-6 word sentences. And, unlike Madison, we were both quite surprised to find that she has an early interest in using the potty, and actually asks to use it each night before her bath! She continues to out-eat Madison at every meal, and will most likely be larger than her sister as an adult. These days she is a little bit whiny, and very repetitive; she badgers you with requests repeatedly until it is fulfilled, despite being told that you have heard her and are in the process of appeasing her. Just in the last few weeks, she become afraid of the dark and monsters just as her sister did at this age, but she is now sleeping in her big girl bed. She is not nearly as shy as she was at this time last year, and we are hoping that she will enjoy her birthday this year! We love this little menace and can't wait to see how the first few months of the 'terrible twos' starts out. And, wouldn't you know it, she too is a Daddy's girl.
